Just a quick update to let you know we’ve updated Slatable in the AppStore. We had some great feedback from a couple of you guys and added them to the update! There are some UI tweaks to make things a little easier for first time users and we also added a “Share by Email” function. Now you can share via email directly from the app. And it uploads in the background as it uses iOS’s built in Mail Drop. You have to make sure you’ve turned on iCloud but that’s it.
Update now to get the new share feature and let us know what you think by sending us an email via support.
Thanks again for all your support.

We released Slatable 1.5 with some simple UI tweaks that will help speed up your self tape production.
In the Takes page we’ve made it much clearer if you need to compile your tape. Green for “Watch Audition Tape” and red for “Compile Audition Tape.” We’ve also done away with the “…Save…” popup directly after compiling your audition tape which is slightly confusing and now redundant! We also added some tips for first time uses on the Auditions page. This should make it even faster to record, compile and upload your self tapes.
We hope you like the update! Let us know what you think, we love constructive criticism.
We are now offering free self tape workshops for acting studios in the greater Los Angeles area.
If you are outside of LA we also offer free webinars.
The workshops run about 30 mins and students will be guided through setup, audition creation, working with Takes and how to export and upload. We also share some of our industry insider tips for the perfect self tapes at home or away.

We’re excited to announce we’ve added the front facing (selfie) camera, with Dark Mode.
If you use the front facing selfie camera but get distracted by seeing yourself audition, Dark Mode blurs and darkens the screen allowing you distraction free takes. Just another way Slatable supports you in putting your best self tape forward.
